Magstadt signs with Lewis Electric

Elk Point-Jefferson’s Carter Magstadt signed on for employment at Lewis Electric on April 16, 2025. The company is headquartered in North Sioux City, South Dakota. Home Builders of Iowa and Iowa Skilled Trades hosted the signing event which included Magstadt and other apprentices from the tri-state area who have committed to an employer for their future career path.

Reinhardts meet Lonzo Ball and feel close to loved one

Dakota Valley alum and Morningside University student Alex Reinhardt passed away on February 26, 2023. However, his memory lives on due to Reinhardt’s generous nature as an organ donor. NSC election recount

In North Sioux City, South Dakota, a recount in the recent special election has altered the outcome of the one-year commissioner race. Initially, David James Wilch was declared the winner by a narrow margin of two votes over Vincent D. Tucker. However, after a recount conducted on April 15, Tucker emerged victorious with 400 votes to Wilch’s 398.
