Panthers run exceptionally well at regionals, head to state

It was an exceptional regional meet for the Dakota Valley cross country team on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Seniors Jack Brown and Sophia Redler ran their way to 1st place finishes as both were crowned 3A region champions for varsity.
Van Den Hul inducted in to Hall of Fame

Josh Van Den Hul, of Dakota Dunes, returned to his college alma mater on Saturday, October 19, in order to be inducted into the Wartburg College Athletic Hall of Fame. As a Knight, Van Den Hul’s impact on the football field did not go unnoticed. He earned numerous honors during his time in a black and orange uniform.

Girl Scouts making a difference with bronze award project

The Elk Point-Jefferson Girl Scout Troop 161 is on a mission to make a difference in their community through their Bronze Award project. This group of ten junior Girl Scouts, consisting of 4th and 5th graders, has been working with the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Organization in Sioux City to provide bedding for those in need. Their dedication and hard work have already made a significant impact, and they continue spreading the word about their upcoming bedding drive.
EPJ runners run strong at regionals, Marx heads to State

The 3A Regions meet for Class A cross country was hosted by the Huskies on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at The Pointe Golf Course. The familiar territory had Elk Point-Jefferson running well and ending the day with a state qualifier.

Huskies pick up another big win versus Watchdogs

The winning streak continued for Elk Point-Jefferson on May 11, 2025 as they bested Beresford 17-2. Even more impressive was that the Huskies needed just 4 innings to secure the victory against the Watchdogs.
