Huskies dominate duals, place five at Big East/LCC

February started with a full schedule for the Elk Point-Jefferson wrestling team as they traveled to Garretson on February 3, 2026 and then Canistota on February 5, 2026. To end the week the Huskies went up against a lot of stellar opponents for the Big East/LCC Tournament on February 7, 2026.

County approves bridge bids

The Union County Commission handled a full agenda Tuesday, approving abatements, awarding bridge contracts and appointing a new interim Register of Deeds during its Feb. 3 regular meeting at the courthouse. Chairman Kevin Joffer called the meeting to order with commissioners Michael Dailey, Bob Ballard, Tom Kimmel and Peggy Ustad present.

EP council OKs utility rates, playground bid
