    The North Sioux City Commission approved a significant contract amendment for the Northshore Drive realignment and opened a federal disaster‑relief funding process Monday, advancing several long‑term infrastructure and planning efforts.

    April 20, 2026 was the date for the Dakota Dunes Community Improvement District (CID) regular meeting, at the Welcome Center on Sioux Point Road, per the meeting minutes. It was called to order at 6:00 pm with members Scott Wetz, Ken Beaulieu, Dalton Hanson, Janet Finzen and William Shorma present. The CID Manager Andrew Tramp, legal counsel Darrell Jesse, CID employee Katelyn Irby, plus Union Country Sheriff Jim Prouty were also on-hand. In addition there were members of the general public who attended the meeting. They were: Larry Wiese, John D’Auguste, Wayne Bradshaw, Mark Brown, Robert Shuey, Brian Goeden, Boyd Allison, Shannon Hughes and Duane Quinn.
