After suffering a 10-point defeat from the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers, the Elk Point-Jefferson girls turned around and defeated Viborg-Hurley by 10 points. The first half belonged to the Huskies as they put up 18 and 19 points, respectively.

The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies were challenged by the Viborg-Hurley (VH) Cougars Dec. 19 in Elk Point. The Class B team really dug in their claws and tried their best to down the Huskies, but the Huskies prevailed.

The Elk Point Chamber held its annual Holiday Lighting Contest on Saturday, Dec. 16. People wanting to participate only had to have their lights and decorations on by 5:30 p.m. Winners received Elk Point Chamber Bucks to use at participating businesses within the Elk Point and Jefferson communities.
