The City of Jefferson will hold an election in April for the city council seat in Ward I.

Petitions had to be turned in to City Hall by 1 p.m. on Feb. 23 or sent by registered mailed no later than 5 p.m. on Feb. 23.

In Ward I, incumbent Mark LaFleur will be challenged by Sarah Lake.

Incumbents in Ward II – John Van Beest and Ward III – Jason Casper turned in their petitions and were uncontested.
