The City of Elk Point had four seats up for election on their city council. However, no election will have to be held come April as only one petition was returned for each seat.Deb McCreary will retain her position as Mayor as will Ben Irlbeck in Ward 1 and Kris Hulbert in Ward 2. Renee Irwin placed a petition for the Ward 3 seat which was held by the late Marta Verros.
