    DV runners compete in rough conditions again

    The Panthers ran at Yankton Trails, in Sioux Falls, on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. It was hot and windy for the cross country meet that was hosted by Sioux Falls Christian. Despite the rough conditions, many Panthers managed to bring home top individual finishes.

    Dakota Valley dancers continue to shine in Brookings

    Dakota Valley was 1 of 17 dance teams at the Dacotah Bank Center for competition, in Brookings, on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The Panthers faced larger Class AA schools and continued to shine in their pom and jazz performances.

    Panther golfers shoot well at Sioux City North invite

    The Dakota Valley boys varsity golf team took their talent across the river to Iowa in order to play at the Sioux City Country Club on September 16. They participated in the Sioux City North Invite and shot well on the links. The Panthers earned a team score of 310 and were overall champions of the meet.

    Adrian Hanson of Elk Point, S.D., will celebrate his 100th birthday on Saturday, Sept. 28, with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m.

    Husky golfers host Quad meet

    The Huskies were golf hosts this week as a quad meet was played at The Pointe Golf Course on Tuesday, September 17. Then a few days later was the Husky Invite on Thursday, September 19.

    The cross country crew for Elk Point-Jefferson put in the work as they traveled to 2 meets in 1 week on September 16 and September 18. The teams 1st stop was at Viborg-Hurley (VH) where many accolades were won.

    The Huskies took care of business on the road against Baltic on Friday, September 20. Always in control, the Elk Point-Jefferson football squad dominated to win by a score of 46-14.

    A lot of volleyball was played by the Huskies from September 16-21, 2024. Alcester-Hudson (AH) and Iowa school West Sioux were opponents for Elk Point-Jefferson on Monday, September 16 in Hawarden, Iowa. Then there was strong South Dakota competition the rest of the week.
