Varsity Panther baseball play wave of games

The month of May brought a wave of games for the Panther varsity baseball squad. Dakota Valley played 4 games in 4 days and came away with 3 victories and a loss.
Car wash in Elk Point sees new features

The Elk Point Car Wash, soon to be renamed to The Wave Auto Wash, switched hands in November 2023 and recently opened again in February 2024. Monte and Rachel Post of rural Canton purchased the car wash and have made extensive changes throughout the last few months.
Linden receives Hancher Finkbine medallion

On Tuesday, April 16, Ben Linden received the Hancher Finkbine medallion. This 107 year old award is the highest, most prestigious award given to students at the University of Iowa.

Dakota Valley presents “Sounds of the Season”

On Friday, December 6, 2024 a “Sounds of the Season” concert was held at the Dakota Valley Performing Arts Center by the high school’s music department. The DV jazz band, concert band and choir all performed.

Panther wrestlers start season with a busy schedule

It was a full week on the mat for Dakota Valley wrestlers as Panthers were in action multiple days to kick off the regular season. The team was in Orange City on Saturday, December 7 where they went 2-2 in duals. On Monday, December 9 the girls wrestling team saw action in Sioux City followed by a varsity boys quadrangular, at Kingsley-Pierson (KP), on Tuesday, December 10.

DV Esports exhibits strong play to open the season

The 1st week of competition for the sanctioned season of esports, in South Dakota, opened up the month of December. Dakota Valley’s commitment to the program and strong play shown by all of the Panther esports athletes has DV starting the season incredibly fierce.
