Scam alert from Union County Sheriff’s Office

The Union County Sheriff’s Office sent out a scam alert Wednesday, Aug. 17 stating that they have received multiple reports of various individuals receiving scam phone calls.

Truhe retires after over 40 years

Southeast Farmers Cooperative General Manager Don Truhe is retiring as of Aug. 31, 2022. Truhe considers himself a graduate of the “school of hard knocks,” starting his 42-year career a few years out of high school. He started with Southeast in 1980, and in less than a year was promoted to General Manager, where he has served ever since.

CID approves grants, design contracts

The American Rescue Plan Act grant agreements were approved at the Dakota Dunes Community Improvement District (CID) Board of Supervisors meeting Aug. 15. The first grant is for the water main looping project which would add another water main going under the interstate to connect in the Two Rivers Business District to create redundancy in the system.
