Twenty-one years ago the United States witnessed a national tragedy that is forever established in the memories of Americans. No matter the age, people seem to always be able to recall where they were when al-Qaeda, an extremist group from the Middle East, initiated coordinated attacks on American soil.

Muddy Bites

Remember hot summer days as a child and getting to have ice cream – especially a sundae cone? The best part, besides the ice cream of course, was at the very bottom of the cone there was a bunch of chocolate. That’s the idea where Muddy Bites came from – the best part of a sundae cone.

Hole in One!

Immanuel holds Family Fun Night

The Immanuel Lutheran Church Council decided to bring the Elk Point and Jefferson communities together one more time to celebrate summer and the beginning of the school year. A Family Fun Night & BBQ was held the evening of Sunday, Aug. 28.

EPJ plays at DV Invite

Despite the morning rain and puddles along the golf trails, the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies travelled to the Two Rivers Golf Course in Dakota Dunes to play in the Dakota Valley Invitational Aug. 24. The Huskies took 8 golfers – 5 on varsity and 3 on JV.

Huskies win dog fight

In a game of dog versus dog, the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies showed no mercy as they went for the throat of the Baltic Bulldogs Friday, Aug. 26 in Baltic. The contest ended quickly, as the Huskies scored 27 points in the 1st quarter and 28 in the 2nd to win the game 55-0 (ended by mercy rule) before halftime.
