Fleurish Flower Farm selected as 2023 Specialty Crop Producer of the Year

    Across South Dakota there are many farmers working hard to increase access to fresh, locally grown foods and products. A plethora of specialty crops including honey, cut flowers, fruits, vegetables, jams, salsas and other value added products are available across South Dakota.

    The deadline to return petitions to be on the North Sioux City City Council election ballot was Friday, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m.

    Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies defeat West Central Trojans

    It was the last regular season game for the Elk Point-Jefferson boys and they dominated the court against West Central. The Huskies won the game 71 to 56 with five players hitting double-digit scores.

    Five Panthers qualify for state tournament

    Five Dakota Valley wrestlers punched their tickets to state for the 2023-24 season. For the boys it was a regional tournament at Brandon Valley on Friday, Feb. 16 that determined whose season would be extended. For the girls, state qualifiers were determined earlier in the week.

    DV grapplers show up for Regionals

    It was an important day for the Panther boys wrestling team as they traveled to Brandon Valley on Friday, Feb. 16th for the South Dakota High School Activity Association’s 2A regional meet. The top 4 placewinners in each weight class would advance to the state tournament.
