Panther golfers stay on course, roll in more wins

    The Panther boys golf team was on a roll as they won another meet on Tuesday, September 3. Dakota Valley played great rounds at the Spring Creek Country Club in the meet hosted by Sioux Falls Christian.

    Lady Panthers take down undefeated West Central

    In a tough home match, the Panther girls soccer team took down undefeated West Central (WC) in a tight battle on Tuesday, September 3. The 1st half showed good ball movement and options for Dakota Valley while their defense held strong until the end.

    Dakota Valley Panthers take down Mustangs, Huskies

    It was a road trip where the Dakota Valley volleyball squad took care of business versus the Tri-Valley Mustangs, in Colton, on September 3. In 3 straight sets the Panthers claimed victory while all on the varsity roster contributed quality minutes on the court.

    Impressive gridiron battle against top ranked Canton

    In a tight contest, Dakota Valley fell to top ranked Canton in an away football game on Friday, September 6, 2024. The game was close with the final score ending at 13-20.

    Dakota Valley Panther Cross County off to a fast start

    Two meets happened in the first week of September for the Panther cross country teams. This meant double the team wins, personal victories and records. To write that Dakota Valley is running well to start the season would be an understatement.

    Record broken

    Panther senior Jack Brown broke the DV cross country record for the Beresford XC Invite meet on Friday, August 30. Brown ran the course this year in an incredible time of 15:57. This broke Joe Cross’s record from 2023 which was a time of 16.10. With that 2024 official time, Brown moves up to #2 on the DV Cross Country Boys Top 10 List of fastest XC athletes.

    DV boys soccer gains experience against tough competition

    It was a tough week for Panther boys soccer as they faced strong opponents on September 3rd and September 5th. While Dakota Valley was handed 2 losses, much was gained in experience as they battled fierce competition.

    The Elk Point-Jefferson school is gearing up for an exciting event to show appreciation for our military personnel. The upcoming military appreciation tailgate dinner and football game promises an evening of camaraderie, support, and fun for everyone involved.

    National assisted living Week

    Every year, National Assisted Living Week provides an opportunity to celebrate and recognize the important role of assisted living communities in supporting the well being of their residents. This year, the week falls on September 8-14, and there are fantastic activities planned to commemorate this important occasion.

    Local teenager making a difference

    Danica Euliss, a Dakota Valley High School junior, has accomplished something remarkable this summer. She was accepted into and successfully completed the FBI Youth Leadership Program (YLP) in Quantico, VA. This prestigious program, offered by the FBI National Academy Associates, is designed to nurture exceptional young leaders and equip them with the knowledge and skills to positively impact the world.
