EPJ students bring home gold from Special Olympics SD

Special Olympics South Dakota Summer Games at The University of South Dakota was a huge success this year, with Elk Point-Jefferson Unified Champion Schools Special Olympics bringing home an impressive number of medals. The event took place on May 16-17, and five students from EPJ participated in various events over the two days.

Flooded taxpayers eligible for abatement

Taxpayers affected by the flood will be eligible to file for an abatement for the taxes due in 2025. Those taxes are for the 2024 tax year. The 2024 tax year is from November 1, 2022, to October 31, 2023. EPJ wrestlers compete well

A good day was had by the Elk Point-Jefferson wrestling squad as the team competed in the Mc-Cook Central Montrose (MCM) Invitational on Saturday, January 4, 2024. The Huskies went up against schools from all over South Dakota as over 20 teams converged in Salem, SD to compete.

The Elk Point-Jefferson girls basketball team opened up play in 2025 with a big win over Viborg-Hurley (VH) in the Midwest Miracles Classic. The game took place on January 4th and was a fierce game for the Huskies.
