Dakota Valley alum and Morningside University student Alex Reinhardt passed away on February 26, 2023. However, his memory lives on due to Reinhardt’s generous nature as an organ donor. Initially, David James Wilch was declared the winner by a narrow margin of two votes over Vincent D. Tucker. However, after a recount conducted on April 15, Tucker emerged victorious with 400 votes to Wilch’s 398.
