High voter turnout for NSC election

Voters flocked to the North Sioux City (NSC) community center and fire hall for a big municipal election on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Seats on a five-member commission were to be determined as the city turned a corner to elect a new mayor plus four commissioners.

Northshore, Penrose ninety percent complete

The North Sioux City Council convened its regular meeting on April 7, 2025, at City Hall, with Mayor Teel calling the session to order at 7:00 p.m. Council members in attendance included Mr. Benson, Mr. Bogenrief, Ms. Christiansen, Mr. Christenson, Mr. Davis, Mr. Green, Ms. Hoffman, and Mr. Meyer. Norby new school board member

The Jefferson City Council convened its regular meeting on April 7, 2025, at City Hall, with Mayor P. Rigg calling the session to order. Council members in attendance included P. Rigg, T. Boulware, J. Casper, M. LaFleur, J. Lokhorst, and M. Stokely. Other officials and community members were present, including A. Bottger, A. Casper, M. Dailey, T. Elledge, M. Roark, and D. Sharkey.

Elk Point Council discusses chickens

The Elk Point City Council gathered on April 7, 2025, for its regular session at City Hall, where Mayor Deb Mc-Creary led discussions on various community matters. Council members Abraham, Irwin, Penfield, Hurlbert, and VonHaden were in attendance, while Irlbeck was absent. SDDOT seeks public input for Northshore Drive project in NSC

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will hold a public meeting open house on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. (CT) at the North Sioux City Community Center, located at 205 Sodrac Dr. The purpose of this public meeting open house is to discuss and receive public input on the environmental assessment and section 4(f) evaluation for the Northshore Drive realignment project.
