SDDOT holds I-29 Corridor Study Open House

A public Open House was held Thursday, July 20 for those interested in an upcoming South Dakota Department of Transportation (DOT) project. A corridor study was conducted on Interstate 29, especially the on- and off-ramps for the exits into North Sioux City and Dakota Dunes.

Dooley announces resignation from Dakota Dunes CID

Jeff Dooley’s resignation was accepted after an executive session at the Dakota Dunes Community Improvement District (CID) Board of Supervisors meeting July 17. Dooley has been the District Manager of the CID for the last 23 years. His official resignation date is set for Sept. 1.

Former police officer sentenced to 37 months for possession of child pornography

A Wasilla, AK man was sentenced Friday, June 30 to 37 months in federal prison for possessing child pornography in his home. According to court documents, Matthew William Schwier, 39, knowingly possessed over 100 still images and multiple videos depicting children being sexually abused.
