Local historian Eric Rosenbaum gave an on-site presentation on June 27, 2023, regarding the history of the Elmwood Cemetery and Texas Township (Dakota Territory) to members of the Martha Washington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The historic cemetery is located between Elk Point and Jefferson, South Dakota. Texas was a thriving steamboat town located on the banks of the Missouri River.
