Versus the EPJ Huskies, Dakota Valley fell in team scoring 38-40. While in Sioux Falls they faced SF Washington and Vermillion to garner a split of 1 team win and 1 defeat.

The Panther boys varsity team hosted the Vermillion Tanagers on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. It was a tied game, in the 2nd quarter, at 27-27. Tatum Sorensen, a Dakota Valley senior, then took off with some explosive shots that allowed DV to go on a run late in the 1st half. The Panthers made the most of the last 2 minutes in the 2nd quarter to build a 40-27 lead. Vermillion made 2 free throws with 1 second to go until halftime, but energy stayed incredibly high for DV.

It was hustle and bustle for the Elk Point-Jefferson girls varsity basketball team as they played a trio of games in 4 days. First up was a contest in Nebraska, on February 10, 2026, versus a Crofton program with a history of excellence.

Two road trips sandwiched a home contest for the Elk Point-Jefferson boys basketball team starting on February 10, 2026. The 1st away game was versus the West Monona Spartans of Onawa, Iowa. It was a close contest that ended with EPJ just short by a score of 64-66.

EPJ tops Dakota Valley in Senior Night thriller

A competitive evening unfolded for the Elk Point-Jefferson wrestling team as they hosted nearby Dakota Valley, for “Senior Night”, on February 10, 2026. While the matches took centerstage in the exciting atmosphere, the 12th graders affiliated with Husky wrestling were also recognized. Keaton Hinds and Owen Rigg, plus managers Delaney Thorson and Kayla Sharkey, have worked hard for Husky wrestling and will all be missed next season. Tyler Nolz, head wrestling coach at EPJ, is grateful for these four seniors and their dedication.

DV girls push top teams, split busy week

Sophie Meyer drove in hard to make her signature left-hand lay-up for the Panthers as they versed Sioux Valley (SV) on February 3, 2026. It was an away game for Dakota Valley and the SV Cossacks started strong from the perimeter to nail a trio of 3-pointers.

The Panthers controlled every part of their varsity basketball game on Thursday, February 5, 2026 versus Elk Point-Jefferson (EPJ). Dakota Valley worked hard to defeat the EPJ Huskies by a large margin as they started strong and never hit the brakes.

Dakota Valley qualifies for six esports titles at state

The 2025–2026 season has been a tremendous success for the Dakota Valley Esports program. After competing in seven game titles this year, the Panthers have qualified for six titles at the state tournament in Aberdeen on February 13-14, 2026.
