DV rebounds from delays with strong quad showing

Weather delayed the first few contests of the season for the Panther varsity wrestling squad, but the Canton meet on December 16, 2025 was met with no travel obstacles. Earlier, Dakota Valley had match-ups canceled by Mother Nature on December 6 and December 9. The stalled start to the season did not hinder the Panthers as many saw success on the mat. It was a quadrangular hosted by Canton. In addition to DV, Beresford/Alcester-Hudson (BAH) and Elk Point-Jefferson (EPJ) also attended.

Dakota Valley girls notch two wins before winter break

Multiple games were slated for the Panther girls basketball team prior to Dakota Valley’s winter break. Beresford was DV’s first opponent, for the week and the season, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. It was an away contest for the Panthers versus a well-matched roster of Beresford Watchdogs.

First game success greeted the Panther boys varsity basketball team on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. An away contest, versus the Beresford Watchdogs, meant Dakota Valley left town with a definitive win to start their season.

The Huskies traveled north to face Sioux Falls Christian on Thursday, December 18, 2025. It was the SFC Charger’s home opener and they came out strong versus Elk Point-Jefferson.

The Elk Point-Jefferson girls basketball team faced a fierce opponent on a windy night, in Sioux Falls, prior to the school’s winter break. The Chargers of Sioux Falls Christian (SFC) hosted the Huskies on Thursday, December 18, 2025. It was SFC’s home opener and they came out aggressive on the court.

Swatek earns 100th win as Huskies battle hard

Huskies were in Canton for a wrestling quadrangular on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Tough competition was observed on the mat, as Elk Point-Jefferson battled Dakota Valley, the Canton C-Hawks and Beresford/Alcester-Hudson (BAH).

DV Esports posts strong midseason results across multiple titles

The Panther Esports program was busy throughout the week of December 8-11, 2025 with multiple matches played over many differing game titles. Dakota Valley Esports will be on a short hiatus with the holidays as winter break is set to start on December 19. They will be back in the new year for more competitive play.

Panther volleyball adds All‑State, coaching honors after Class A title

Accolades continued for the Dakota Valley volleyball team after being named Class A state champions on November 22, 2025. To start the month of December the South Dakota Volleyball Coaches Association announced their selection for the Class A All-State roster. Senior Claire Munch and junior Madie Munch both made 1st Team All-State to represent the DV Panthers.

Huskies battle hard but fall to Madison in opener

Competitive play met up with the Husky boys basketball team on December 13, 2025. Elk Point-Jefferson was in Madison to kickstart the 2025/26 high school basketball season. The game proved fierce and unfortunately the Huskies did not leave town with a win. However, hard work was observed on the court.

Defense powers girls to victory over Madison

Mother Nature finally decided to let the high school basketball season begin for the Elk Point-Jefferson girls basketball team on Saturday, December 13, 2025. An earlier contest, December 11 versus Canton, was postponed until January 5, 2026 due to snow and icy conditions.
