Richard Noel Chicoine, aged 87, passed away on July 18, 2024 in Glendale, California. He was born on December 25, 1936, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Richard F.

Dale Thomas Bosse, 65 of Westfield, Iowa passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 surrounded by his family and friends after a long courageous battle of stage four pancreatic cancer. A Memorial Mass was held Saturday, September 7 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Jefferson, SD with Fr. Joe Vogel celebrating. Visitation was Friday, September 6 from 5-7p.m., with a vigil service at 7 p.m. all held at the church.

Francis “Danny” Nyreen, 95, of North Sioux City, SD, passed away surrounded by his family on August 27, 2024 at a local care center. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Ark United Methodist Church, Southern Dakota Complex, 120 Gateway Dr., North Sioux City, SD (Behind the North Sioux City Post Office). Patricia A. (Randolph) Coffee, 81, of Elk Point SD passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City following a brief illness. A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday September 14, 2024, at Hansen Funeral Home - Vermillion, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held 1-hour prior. Patricia was born June 11, 1943, in Vermillion, SD to Harold and Alma (Bond) Randolph. She grew up in Vermillion, SD and graduated from Vermillion High School. Patricia went on to further her education at Nettleton commercial college in Sioux Falls for secretarial education.

Ernest John “Ernie” Petty, a beloved member of the Elk Point community, passed away on August 17, 2024, at the age of 94. Per his request, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at Kober Funeral Home in Elk Point.

Patrick (Murph) Connors, 77, of Jefferson, SD, passed away on August 10, 2024 peacefully in the comfort of his family. Pat was born on May 15, 1947 to Kenneth and Marguerite (Boyd) Connors in Sioux City, IA.

Harold Clyde Rosenbaum, age 82, of Elk Point, South Dakota passed away peacefully on July 21st, 2024, at Wel-Life Assisted Living in Elk Point, South Dakota. A Celebrations of life will be held at a later date down at the Rosenbaum Campground.

Margaret “Peggy” Ann Rosenbaum, 88, formerly of Elk Point, SD died July 28, 2024. A Catholic Mass will be held Monday, August 26, 2024, at 10:30 AM at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Vermillion, SD. A rosary will be held 45 minutes prior to mass. Lunch will be served following mass. Interment will be at the Elk Point Cemetery for Albert and Peggy at approximately 1:00 PM.
