Michael Louis Bihlmeyer, 79, of Elk Point, South Dakota, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 18 after a brief one-month battle with cancer. He was residing at the Holy Spirit Assisted Living Center in Sioux City, Iowa during this time.

Mavis Lillian Malloy, 94, of Elk Point, South Dakota, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 10, 2026. Mavis was born June 18, 1932, the eldest daughter of Joe and Lillian (Machacek) Syrovatka.

Marla Jean Henke, age 71, passed away on August 4, 2026, in Elk Point, South Dakota. She was born on December 24, 1954, in Akron, Iowa, and lived a life marked by kindness, devotion, and a warm spirit that touched many people throughout the years.

Theresa Marie Hanson Grosvenor joined heaven on February 4, 2026, after nearly six years of courageously battling terminal cancer. Born on October 20, 1963, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Theresa grew up in Elk Point, South Dakota, and was a proud graduate of the University of South Dakota.

Carolyn J. Leman, 83, passed away on July 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family in Kansas City. Known to most by her nickname Kedge, she was born on October 17, 1942, in Eureka, IL, to Kathryn and Alpheus Weyeneth.

Kay Marie Rasmussen, 64, of Yankton, SD (previously of Vermillion, SD and Bozeman, MT), passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD after a nearly three-month fight with brain cancer. Visitation will be Thursday, July 16 from 5:00-7:00PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermillion. Funeral services will be Friday, July 17 at 10:00AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermillion. Burial will follow at Bluff View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Feeding South Dakota or the National Brain Tumor Society. Michael Ray Rehling, 74, passed away peacefully with his family around him at the Omaha Veterans Administra-tion Medical Center on June 1, 2026. He was born to Robert and Eva (Girard) Rehling in Sioux City, lowa, on September 12, 1951, and grew up on a farm near Elk Point, South Dakota. Mike graduated from Elk Point High School in 1969. Following graduation, he attended the Brown Institute of Broadcasting in Minneapolis, MN, then proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the loss of our beloved mother, Mary Virginia Chaussee Conway. She passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026 at Strand-Kjorsvig Living Center in Roslyn, South Dakota. Mary was born on June 8, 1933 on the Chaussee family farm outside of Elk Point, South Dakota, where she was raised as the eldest child of Cal and Inez Chaussee.
