The Dakota Valley legion team opened up summer baseball play with 5 games in the 1st week of June. They went 3-2 to start with many more games on the schedule.

Elk Point-Jefferson’s Sailor Kommes represented the Huskies well at the 2025 girls state golf meet in Madison, South Dakota. The competition took place on June 2-3, 2025. Kommes came out of regionals, on May 23, with a 21st placing to secure her ticket to the state meet.

Elk Point-Jefferson senior legion team had their 1st game on June 3, 2025 against Colton Legion Post 206. It was a tough loss 7-12 for the Huskies.

A ton of hardware was brought home by the Huskies from the 2025 state track and field meet, in Sioux Falls, on May 29-31, 2025. Elk Point-Jefferson found themselves on the podium multiple times throughout the 3 day athletic event which brought in the talent from every part of South Dakota.

The end of May brought cool weather and windy conditions that disrupted the end of regular season play for girls high school golf in South Dakota. The regional meet for the Panthers was held on May 23, 2025 and the Madison Invite/DAK 12 conference meet had to be moved back to Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Typically the state golf meet will be the only competition held after a region meet, but Mother Nature made other plans for the calendar. Dakota Valley sent golfers to both events and performed well.

The regular season ended on a high for Dakota Valley softball with back-to-back-to-back wins on May 22, May 23, and May 24, 2025.

The Dakota Valley varsity baseball team took the state tournament by storm on May 26-27, 2025. The event was held in Brookings and the Panthers were a #6 seed, but played like champions throughout each and every contest.

Elk Point-Jefferson closed out their regular season of 2025 softball with a pair of big wins on Friday, May 23rd. They followed it up by hosting their 1st ever SoDak 16 game on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. The state qualifier came against Sioux Falls Christian and ended with EPJ’s ticket punched to the state tournament.

The Elk Point-Jefferson girls golf squad played some fierce rounds of golf to end the month of May. The Huskies were at the regional meet, in Beresford, on May 23, 2025. They then traveled to Madison for a rescheduled golf meet that included DAK 12 conference competition, as well as surrounding area schools.
