Dakota Valley Thunder 12U baseball completed their season this weekend by finishing 4th place at the South Dakota State VFW Tournament in Humboldt, SD.
Dakota Valley began State Tournament play on Friday morning with a win over Lake County 14-12. Catcher Cole Brown had a perfect day at the plate getting 4 hits in 4 attempts, on the mound it was a team effort as 6 different pitchers were utilized to complete the game. Reid Huber pitched the final outs and earned the save.
The tournament continued Friday night with a 13-3 victory over Milbank that ended early due to the 10 run rule, Cameron Curry and Cam Colt each had 3 hits and 3 runs scored. Pitcher Tyler Kloucek earned the win by completing all four innings and also hit the 2 RBI single to end the game.
