Silja Gunderson placed 15th in the preliminary round in the 100m dash. -
Seventh grader Julia Bernard competed in the Long Jump and the Triple Jump. She took 20th and 13th places, respectively. -
Sophia Redler had a great showing at the state track and field tournament. She brought home a 7th place finish in the 800m run, 4th place in the 3200m and helped her 3200m relay team to a 4th place finish. -
Claire Munch competed in the high jump and triple jump. She brought home 3rd place in the triple jump. -
Jackson Boonstra competed in the 100m and 200m dashes. He placed 12th and 21st, respectively in the preliminaries.
Track and field athletes from all over South Dakota stampeded into Howard Wood stadium on May 25, May 26 and May 27 for the state track meet. Dakota Valley, as a member of Class A, was on-hand along with many others. All classes competed at the same location for state track to make for an epic weekend of runs, jumps, throws and breaking records.
