John Stotz John P. Stotz, 77, of Hawarden, IA, formerly of Elk Point, SD passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden.

LaVonne (Corio) Baker LaVonne (Corio) Baker (formerly of Jefferson, SD), mother, teacher, people person, animal lover, magazine collector (she never had time to read them), square dancer, baker extraordinaire, and lover of travel, left us on July 2, 2023 at Bickford Assisted Living of Urbandale IA, surviving years of Alzheimer’s. She leaves behind a legacy of a 40-year teaching career that touched so many students lives in two states; family; many good friends (and some she had just met in the checkout lane); and the happy memories for all those who knew and loved her.

Margaret “Margie” Elizabeth Lacey Doyle, 65 of Dakota Dunes, SD, passed away as she was beginning a Mediterranean cruise on Friday, June 16, 2023 in Barcelona, Spain. A memorial mass was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2023 at St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church in Dakota Dunes. Visitation was one hour prior to the service time at the church. A church blessing and burial was at 1 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2023 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Imogene, IA with burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Imogene. Ann Frances (McInerney) Chicoine, age 65, of Watertown, SD passed peacefully in her home with her family by her side, on June 27, 2023 after a long fought battle with cancer. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation Friday, June 30, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Eldean Kjose Eldean Eugene Kjose was born November 25, 1935 on the family farm seven miles west of Akron, IA to Alfred and Julia (Nielsen) Kjose. He died June 25, 2023 at the Centerville Care and Rehab Center at the age of 87 years, seven months and one day.

Odalite “Oddy” Magzine Erickson died peacefully at the Embassy Care Center on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 with family by her side. Services will be held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 2 p.m.

John Paul Gille, 63, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones in La Crosse, Wisconsin on May 11. John was born in Hazel Green, Wisconsin to parents Edmund and Edith (Klaas) on February 27, 1960.
