There is no lack of work in the agricultural industry, whether its farming corn and soybeans, feeding animals or fixing equipment around the farm. For one local Elk Point-Jefferson senior, he’s learning a different aspect of agriculture – the cleaning of small grain and seed and all that it entails.

Unrivaled Traditions Outdoors (UTO) has been providing various opportunities for local veterans since its inception in 2018. Recently, the American Legion Post 134 and the VFW each donated $500 to UTO to help sponsor three local veterans on a waterfowl hunting experience.

Union Bean & Company plans to open in mid-December in the old Triumph Chiropractic building. Matt and Karissa Munce are leasing the building from Dr. Kirstin Carlson and are currently converting the inside.
