The Union County Historical Society (UCHS) updated the Charles Murtha House museum sign in the spring of 2023. After years of weathering, the paint on the sign was beginning to fade and the wooden posts holding up the sign were decaying.

After waiting to see if any of the boy scouts needed an Eagle Scout project, the UCHS decided to have the signs updated.
