The Leader-Courier had an unusual guest Friday, Aug. 25. A Praying Mantis was found peaking in the window Friday morning. Praying Mantises have a life span of one year and can grow up to 18 inches long. They primarily eat insects, but have also been known to eat spiders, frogs, lizards and even small birds.
