  • Bill Boyer with Boyer Service and his crew demolished the wind turbine outside of Akron, IA Feb. 9. The turbine was built in 1999. It stood 165 feet tall and had 72 feet blades. The second phase which consists of concrete removal will begin in the Spring after the ground has had time to thaw. Submitted photos
