The City of Elk Point met in regular session March 6 and had only a few items on their agenda.

One of those items was the purchase of a backhoe. The council approved the purchase off of the state bid from Murphy Tractor Supply for $148,800. The motion passed 5-1 with council member Ken VonHaden voting against.
