People would be hardpressed to find someone more dedicated to teaching the youth in Elk Point and Jefferson than Rita Ahmann.
Ahmann has been a math teacher in the Elk Point-Jefferson school district for 45 years. She’s currently on her 46th year of teaching and doesn’t have plans for retirement anytime soon.
