Union County commissioners approved the county’s 2027 budget Sept. 29 while also reviewing progress on the county building project, awarding a jail meal contract and addressing several other county matters.

The 2027 budget includes $10,003,323 in total county tax levies, with a listed levy of $4.692 per $1,000 of taxable valuation.
