Great Conference showing by EPJ Huskies

The Elk Point-Jefferson wrestlers had a great showing at the DAK-12 Conference meet at Dakota Valley Jan. 21. Luke Swatek (120) had a fourth place finish; Noah Mc-Dermott (195) and Noah Thooft (220) garnered 2nd place finishes at the meet and Lucas Hueser (152) brought home the gold.

Dakota Valley Panthers continue to improve

The wrestlers for Dakota Valley had a long road trip on Tuesday, Jan. 17 as the team travelled to Madison for varsity duals versus Dell Rapids and the Madison Bulldogs. Great bouts were held, but the Panthers fell short in team scoring to both opponents.

Dakota Valley Boys 10-0 for the season

The Dakota Valley boys basketball team remained undefeated after beating the Tri-Valley Mustangs at home on Friday, Jan. 20 and then trampling the Cossacks of Sioux Valley at the Corn Palace on Saturday, Jan. 21.

Panther girls garner back-to-back victories

Back-to-back game days meant back-to-back victories for the Dakota Valley girls basketball team on Friday, Jan 20 and Saturday, Jan. 21. The Panthers took down the Tri-Valley Mustangs at home on the 21st and then travelled to Irene-Wakonda to beat Scotland.
