The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies were challenged by the Ponca Indians Jan. 10. The Huskies battled hard, but ultimately fell 38 to 44.
Throughout the contest, the lead changed and scores were tied 6 times. At the end of the 1st quarter, the Indians led the Huskies by 2 points. The Huskies held the Indians to only 8 points in the 2nd quarter to have a halftime lead of 23 to 21.
