Huskies battle in tight doubleheader at Beresford

It was a doubleheader for Elk Point-Jefferson (EPJ) baseball on Friday, April 24, 2026. The destination was Beresford and the opponent was Beresford Area which is made up of players from Beresford, Centerville and Alcester-Hudson. Both contests were close, but unfortunately resulted in losses for EPJ by the scores of 5-7 and 3-10.

Huskies’ bats stay hot in busy week of soft ball action

A doubleheader happened on Monday, April 20, 2026 for the Elk Point-Jefferson (EPJ) softball team. Despite outstanding hitting, plus a rally in the bottom of the 7th, the Huskies fell to Lennox by a score of 8-10. Up next in the doubleheader was top ranked West Central (WC). An early lead by EPJ happened, but the WC Trojans had big bats in the 4th and 5th innings to defeat EPJ 3-15.

Consecutive nights of track and field were on the docket again for Elk Point-Jefferson (EPJ). The team was in Canton on Monday, April 20, 2026. The following day they were at Bon Homme’s meet, in Tyndall, for the Jim Flevares Relays.

Panthers notch two mercy‑rule wins behind deep pitching

Strong mound performances by Dakota Valley softball pitchers meant big wins on April 13 and April 14, 2026 as the Panthers took down rivals from the DAK 12 Conference. On Monday, April 13, 2026 it was freshman Brynn Ramos with the start versus Elk Point-Jefferson (EPJ). Senior Annie Bourne pitched in relief. The pair of hurlers combined for 11 strikeouts in the contest against the EPJ Huskies.

DV bats stay hot in two‑game sweep of Tri‑County

Two wins were secured by the Dakota Valley varsity baseball team versus the Tri-County Sundogs in mid-April. The Panthers were victorious by large margins in both contests as the bats were on fire and pitching was sound. Their opponents, the Tri-County Sundogs, consisted of players from Irene, Gayville, Volin, Wakonda, Hurley and Viborg.

Betsworth shoots even par to lead DV to second place

Competition began for Dakota Valley (DV) girls golf on April 13, 2026 with a quadrangular meet at Beresford. Panther varsity and junior varsity (JV) golfers pulled out their drivers, irons and putters to play The Bridges at Beresford Golf Course.

DV relay shatters school record in Hartford

Much success was had by the Dakota Valley (DV) track and field team on April 13, 2026 at the West Central (WC) Invite in Hartford. Even a slight weather delay could not slow down the Panthers as they cruised to top finishes and even a school record in the girls 4x100m relay.

Huskies answer DV setback with big road win

Two away games greeted Elk Point-Jefferson’s softball team in mid-April. They played nearby Dakota Valley (DV) on Monday, April 13, 2026. The Huskies then traveled to Wagner, on April 16, 2026, to face the Red Raiders.

Huskies claim girls title, boys fifth at Wagner Invite

Competing in the Wagner Invite for track and field, on April 14, 2026, were Elk Point-Jefferson’s boys and girls teams. Top honors were achieved as the Husky girls claimed 1st place as a team and the Husky boys brought home 5th place. There were 16 girls’ teams at this meet and 17 boys’ teams.
