Shirley Ann (Raynor) Schlag, 84, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022 after a brief stay at Holy Spirit Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28th at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation, with the family present, will begin at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home before the service begins at 6:30 p.m. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.meyerbroschapels.com Shirley Ann was born on May 4, 1938 in Elk Point, South Dakota, oldest daughter of Ed and Louise (Henke) Raynor with 5 siblings. After graduating high school Shirley moved to Sioux City where she worked for several area businesses, including Sears, running a comptometer adding yearly inventory numbers. She met and married Robert L. Schlag in 1959 at Morningside Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Shirley graduated from Stewarts School of Hair and ran her own beauty shop “Golfview Salon” out of her home for 35 years. She was also an accomplished art painter, seamstress and crafter. While running her beauty shop, she also kept busy as a Tupperware and Park Lane Jewelry Sales woman, and teaching sewing.

Barbara “Barb” Downs, 87, of Elk Point, SD, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022, at MercyOne Siouxland in Sioux City, lA, surrounded by loved ones.

Elva Jane Connelly, age 56, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her husband and three daughters on Sept. 5, 2022.

Dorris Lorraine Pace, 100 years and eight months, was born Dec. 6, 1921 to Peter and Grace (Jacobson) Jacobson in Plankinton, SD.

Mary Ellen Irwin, of Elk Point passed away at the age of 85 years old on Sunday August 21, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City, IA.

Dorris L. Pace died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2022. Funeral services will be held at Elk Point United Parish Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with services beginning at 11 a.m.

Mark E. Jones, 91, Sioux Falls, formerly Elk Point, SD, died Tuesday, Aug.
