Arla Wurtz Arla A. Wurtz, 91, of Elk Point, SD passed away on Sunday, Dec.

JC (Smoothie) Collins of Jefferson, SD, passed away on Nov. 29, 2022.

Michael (Mike) Warren Branson, 73, of Elk Point, SD, passed away on Nov. 9, 2022, at his home.

David O. Minor, 73, of Lake Andes, SD passed away Friday, Nov.

Stan Foltz, 66 years old of rural Elk Point, passed away Nov. 5, 2022 at Sanford Hospital in Vermillion, SD after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Stan grew up in Kimball, SD and after graduation, attended Springfield college for one year then attended Mitchell Vocational School for one year and received a diploma as a power lineman. Stan worked for Union County Electric in Elk Point for 37 years retiring in 2014.

Donald B. Streeter, 82, of North Sioux City, passed away Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022 at a local hospital. Mass of Christian Burial was held Oct. 26 at 12 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Tim Friedrichsen officiating. Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, with a Knights of Columbus led Rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Jefferson, SD. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels. com. Don was first and foremost a man devoted to his family; he was kind and generous. He did his best to never miss an event for his children or grandchildren. Don was the third of seven children born to Charles and Laura Streeter. He attended Sioux Point for his elementary school and Jefferson for High School and graduated in 1958. While attending Jefferson H.S., he met Judy (Burnight), and she became the love of his life. Don and Judy married on July 13, 1963, and they celebrated 59 years of marriage together.

Robert David Joseph “Bob” Britt was born in San Rafael, CA Feb. 17, 1935 to Richard J. and Mary (Thompson) Britt. Bob’s mother died when he was quite young. He was raised in the Sunny Hills Orphanage in Marin County, CA. Bob said it was a “good orphanage,” and he made some lifelong friends there. Bob joined the US Navy in 1955 and served aboard the USS Ozbourn. He liked being in the Navy and was proud of his military service. After the Navy, Bob worked for North American Aviation in California.

Martin Fred Jorgensen, 84, of Elk Point, SD passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022 at Westwood Specialty Care in Sioux City, IA.

Norman Shedd, 83, of Elk Point, SD passed away Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Alcester Care & Rehab Center.

Jock Rollison passed away on Oct. 12, 2022, due to an esophageal cancer at the Buffett Cancer Center.
