Mark Douglas Colt, 65, of Frederic, MI, passed away April 29, 2022, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI.

Mark was born March 26, 1957, in Sioux City, IA, to Douglas and Vedeane Colt. He grew up in Jefferson, SD, and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1975.

He proudly served as a paratrooper in the US Army before his work as an over-the-road truck driver took him to Toledo, OH, in 1983, where he met his better half, Carmon. They moved to Frederic in 1996 where he worked in construction and built the farmhouse of their dreams. Mark loved his family, his dogs and his farm. He enjoyed hunting, many different sports, camping, fishing, gardening and helping others.

Mark was met at the Pearly Gates by his mother, his step-grandson and many dogs.

He is survived by his love, Carmon; his father, Douglas; his stepchildren/children Brian (Christina), Don “Buddy” (Dana), Jeremie (Kate), Christina and Kelly; his two brothers, Michael (Lucy) and Todd (Tammy); and 19 step-grandchildren/grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed by his family and loved ones.
