Even with the top boy runner in the Conference (Joe Cross) injured, the Huskies Cross Country team had a successful day in Elk Point Thursday, Oct. 6. Many runners achieved personal records on the perfect day for a meet.

The SD Board of Regents announces its 2022 free application period

Beginning Oct. 3, students may apply to South Dakota’s public universities and colleges free of charge through November. During the free application period, the South Dakota Board of Regents (BOR) encourages South Dakota high school students to explore and apply to any of the participating post-secondary schools.

Remove hay bales from right-of-way

Crum’s resignation accepted

After a 30-minute executive session for personnel matters, the Jefferson City Council accepted the resignation of Police Chief Randy Crum, Oct. 3. Crum is also the city’s Street Superintendent and Water/ Wastewater Operator. Crum will stay until Oct. 14 when his resignation goes into effect.
