Sioux City Metros capture state title

The Sioux City Metros garnered a first place finish at Midwest High School Hockey League Tournament March 3-5 to be named State Champions. Their 5-4 win over the Des Moines Oak Leafs secured the championship.

An Elk Point-Jefferson alum has continued her success in athletics on the collegiate scale. Curry had an outstanding career as a Husky qualifying for the South Dakota High School Activities Association Class A State Track and Field three times.

FCS to build a new grain facility in southeast South Dakota

The Board of Directors and Management of Farmers Coop Society (FCS) is pleased to announce the construction of a state-of-the-art grain elevator in southeast South Dakota. The “Union Grove” elevator will be located nine miles directly south of Beresford, SD, and one quarter mile east of I-29 Exit 38. The construction will start this March and will accept soybeans in the Fall of 2023.
