Elk Point-Jefferson girls tie for 1st place, boys take 4th

Per usual, the rivalry between Elk Point-Jefferson and Dakota Valley did not disappoint those at the Canton Invite April 15. On the girls side, the two schools tied for the 1st place honors.

DV Panther girls tie for 1st place at Canton Invite

The Panther boys and girls had great success at the Canton Invite for track and field on Monday, April 15. Many top finishes and personal records were secured by the Dakota Valley athletes.

Lady Huskies hold heads high after tough loss

With a devastat ing loss, the Huskies held their heads high and played with heart throughout the contest against West Central April 15 at home. The Trojans took the game in 4 short innings, holding the Huskies to zero while putting up 5 runs in the 1st and 2nd and 4 runs in the 3rd and 4th to take the game 18-0.

Elk Point-Jefferson Baseball has dominating wins

It was a great week to be a Husky on the baseball field as they continued their winning streak in dominating fashion. On April 19, the CHawks of Canton visited Husky territory to fly home a few feathers short.

EPJ girls take the silver

The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies opened their season in Beresford at the Bridges Golf Course. They competed against Beresford, Lennox, Dakota Valley and Sioux Falls Christian.

Husky track and field finish strong in Vermillion

After not being able to host their home invite on April 2 due to weather conditions, the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies travelled to Vermillion for their invite on April 4. Lauren McDermott had a good showing, placing 2nd in the 300m Hurdles and 3rd place in the 100m Hurdles.

Huskies begin track season with record breaking speeds

The Dan Lennon Invite at the University of South Dakota opened this year’s track season for the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies on March 19. The Huskies started off well as sophomore Lauren McDermott broke a school record in the 60 meter hurdles with a 9.60 second finish.
