The Huskies golf team gathered in Vermillion, on Monday, September 9th, to take on area schools at The Bluffs Golf Course for 18 holes of competition. Elk Point-Jefferson placed 5th in team scoring for the varsity golf meet at a +61.

Dakota Valley Panther Cross County off to a fast start

Two meets happened in the first week of September for the Panther cross country teams. This meant double the team wins, personal victories and records. To write that Dakota Valley is running well to start the season would be an understatement.

Record broken

Panther senior Jack Brown broke the DV cross country record for the Beresford XC Invite meet on Friday, August 30. Brown ran the course this year in an incredible time of 15:57. This broke Joe Cross’s record from 2023 which was a time of 16.10. With that 2024 official time, Brown moves up to #2 on the DV Cross Country Boys Top 10 List of fastest XC athletes.

DV boys soccer gains experience against tough competition

It was a tough week for Panther boys soccer as they faced strong opponents on September 3rd and September 5th. While Dakota Valley was handed 2 losses, much was gained in experience as they battled fierce competition.
