Dakota Valley defense dominates in early blowout win

The scoreboard could barely keep with the Dakota Valley varsity football team on Friday, September 12, 2025. Multiple touchdowns and strong plays were observed as the Panther defense completely shut down their opponent’s attempt to move the football. Fifty-eight points were put up in the 1st half by DV to have this game end after just 2 quarters of play. It was a final of 58-0 in favor of the Panthers.

DV volleyball wins Black Hills tourney, tops Beresford

Staying undefeated, the Panther volleyball squad dominated competition throughout September 9-13, 2025. They battled the Watchdogs of Beresford, at home on September 9, and won in sweeping fashion. Dakota Valley also played tough in the Black Hills as they won the varsity tournament, in Rapid City, on September 12-13, 2025.

Panthers stay hot on the pitch with hat trick and strong defense

A tough match was played by Dakota Valley girls soccer on Tuesday, September 9, as they hosted the Trojans of West Central (WC). The Panthers had bested WC earlier in the season, but both programs are playing excellent soccer for 2025 and a close contest was on the horizon.

Panthers take runner-up at Tanager Invite in Vermillion

In what will be a familiar setting for the fall golf season, the Panthers were in Vermillion on September 8, 2025 to play The Bluffs Golf Course. Dakota Valley was playing in the Tanager Invite, and they will re-visit this site again for the DAK XII conference meet plus regionals and state.

Dakota Valley dance team claims titles in jazz and pom

A trip to Yankton was in order for the Panther dance team on Thursday, September 11, 2025. It would be fierce competition as Dakota Valley looked to be the only Class A team in attendance. All others were from Class AA in South Dakota.

Windy conditions test Huskies at Bluffs golf meet

On Monday, the Huskies traveled to Vermillion to compete at The Bluffs for the first of many events scheduled at the course this season. Conditions were warmer than Friday’s round in Mitchell, but the wind played a major role throughout the day.

EPJ runners shine at Canton with medals, personal records

The heat and the hills did not stop the Huskies from pushing themselves hard on September 9, 2025 at Canton’s cross country meet. Navigating a tough run on the Hiawatha Golf Course, Elk Point-Jefferson looked strong. Multiple medalists came home as EPJ ran hard at the meet to set many personal records (PR).

Excitement could be felt as the Huskies traveled to Winner to take on the Warriors, in football, on Friday, September 12, 2025. Both squads are fierce and close contests often ensue whenever they are competing under the Friday Night Lights. This time, Elk Point-Jefferson was the big winner as they defeated the Winner Warriors 20-8.

Panthers ignite in second half to rout Canton 35–14

Friday Night Lights was on fire for Dakota Valley as they won their homecoming football game, versus Canton, on September 5, 2025. It was a great contest as the Panthers came from behind to win 35-14 with a huge cheering section in the stands.
