Dakota Valley Cheer State Preview

The Panther competitive cheer squad will close out their season at state on Friday, Oct. 20. They will be the 1st team to perform at 5:15 p.m. Dakota Valley will compete in the small stunting/tumbling division.

Dakota Valley Panther defense shuts down Watchdogs

It would not take long on Friday the 13th for DV to score versus Beresford on senior night at home. Up 6-0 extremely early was thanks to a touchdown run by junior Jackson Boonstra for over 50 yards. The score kicked off what would be an evening of Panther domination.

Cross Country State Preview

Dakota Valley will be sending 12 harriers and 4 alternates to the South Dakota High School Activity Association’s (SDHSAA) state cross country meet on Saturday, Oct. 21st. The Panthers will race against the toughest that Class A has to offer. Schools in Class B and Class AA will also be on-site as South Dakota’s finest converge in Sioux Falls at Yankton Trails Park.

Senior Panthers recall 2023 girls soccer season

Windy conditions would exist for the Dakota Valley girls soccer squad in Hartford on Thursday, Oct. 5. It was round one of the Class A soccer playoffs with the Panthers taking on the West Central (WC) Trojans.

Panthers take top honors in Vermillion, DAK-12

Vermillion was the destination for the Dakota Valley cross country team throughout the 1st week of October. The Tanager Invite was held on Monday, Oct. 2 and the DAK-12 conference meet occurred on Thursday, Oct. 5.

Panther compete well in tough match-ups

Monday, Oct. 2 brought a solid Dell Rapids (DR) team to North Sioux City for the Panther volleyball squad. Dakota Valley was ready for the challenge, as the Quarriers came to town with a record of 13-4.

Dance medals in Mitchell

A visit to the home of the Corn Palace occurred for the Panther dance team on Thursday, Oct. 5.

Cheer garners 1st in home invite

Competitive cheerleaders for Dakota Valley were in attendance at the Mitchell Cheer and Dance Invite on Oct. 5. The squad faced very few fellow Class A schools, but worked hard against the larger Class A opponents.
