Elk Point-Jefferson School District recently held high school auditions for the upcoming 2024/25 one-act season. The Huskies are set to perform the play called Bobby Wilson Can Eat His Own Face by Don Zolidis. Kirsten Colt is the EPJ advisor for one-act and is excited about this show.

Mayor Patti Teel presided over discussions, which started promptly at 7:00 p.m. Council members Kodi Benson, Gary Bogenrief, Jim Christenson, Joan Christiansen, Bob Davis, Lonnie Green, Lynn Hoffman, and Greg Meyer were in attendance. City Administrator Jeff Dooley and City Finance Officer Amy Lilly were also present.

On December 2, 2024, the Jefferson City Council convened for its regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. under the leadership of Mayor Paddy Rigg. The council members present included Tony Boulware, Jason Casper, Mark LaFleur, John Lokhorst, and John Van Beest, with additional attendance from Sabrina LaFleur-Sayler, Michealeen Roark, and Dustin Sharkey.

The first ever Elk Point Hometown Christmas Market was hosted on Saturday, November 30, 2024 by the city’s chamber of commerce. The event ran from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., on Main Street, in Elk Point. Vendors were set-up, as well as many fun activities in place for kids and families.
