EPJ board discusses budget

The Elk Point-Jefferson School Board met July 10 in regular session to discuss the budget and adjourn the board from 2023 and begin the fiscal year 2024 board of education. The board convened at 5:30 p.m.

Elk Point to look at drainage issues

Three residents appeared before the council to discuss drainage issues on their respective properties. Doug Briese, Richard Peasley and Greg Hovland each had some type of drainage issues to present to the council.

Council discusses streets

The Jefferson City Council met in regular session on July 6, moved from Tuesday to Thursday due to the July 4 holiday. First thing on the agenda was the Jefferson High School property.

Hansel named new StoneyBrook administrator

Lisa Hansel was recently hired as Administrator at StoneyBrook Suites Assisted Living in Dakota Dunes. In this role, Hansel oversees all operations at the facility. She is responsible for managing facility residency by guiding families through the assisted living process and maintaining the highest degree of resident satisfaction. Additionally, she leads and manages all facility staff to ensure excellence in level of care and service for residents.

DV Board reviews proposed budget

The Dakota Valley School Board held its annual designations meeting on July 6. First, the board reviewed the proposed 2024 budget.

City discusses speed limit on South Sodrac Drive

The North Sioux City City Council met in regular session on July 10. Their meeting had been moved from July 3 to July 10 due to the July 4th holiday. At this meeting, the council needed to split it into two sections due to closing out one year’s council into the next.
