The City Council of North Sioux City, South Dakota, convened for its Regular Meeting on August 5, 2024. Mayor Teel led the meeting, which was attended by council members Kodi Benson, Gary Bogenrief, Jim Christenson, Joan Christiansen, Lonnie Green, and Lynn Hoffman. City officials were also present, including City Finance Officer Amy Lilly and City Attorney Sarah Kleber. Council members Greg Meyer and Bob Davis were absent.

Pham hired as EP Police officer

The Elk Point City Council convened its regular meeting on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. to discuss various city matters. President Lance Penfield presided over the meeting, with members Amanda Abraham, Renee Irwin, Kris Hurlbert, Kenneth VonHaden, and Ben Irlbeck in attendance. Mayor Deb McCreary was absent. Additionally, key city figures such as City Attorney Craig K. Thompson, City Administrator Derek Tuttle, Police Chief Jacob Limoges, Finance Officer Erika Hammitt, and Public Works Director Trever Job were present.

Siouxland Recovery Fund launches assistance program for flood victims

The Siouxland Recovery Fund, in collaboration with the Community Action Agency of Siouxland and the Salvation Army of Siouxland, is proud to announce the launch of an individual assistance program to support the needs of flood victims in Woodbury, Union, Plymouth, and Dakota Counties.

Elk Point-Jefferson plans for Fall sports

Sports athletes and family members attended the Elk Point-Jefferson Fall Kickoff on Monday, August 5 to hear about what is ahead for the Huskies this school year and throughout the upcoming season. Superintendent Philip Schonebaum was the first speaker of the evening. He started the meeting with a discussion about having a good culture and embracing the EPJ school community as family.
