The Panther competitive cheer squad will close out their season at state on Friday, Oct. 20. They will be the 1st team to perform at 5:15 p.m. Dakota Valley will compete in the small stunting/tumbling division.

Dakota Valley varsity volleyball took care of business against the Lennox Orioles on Oct. 10 by scores of 25-18, 2517 and 25-12. A victory sweep always feels good for the Panthers. It was especially sweet, this time at home, because it was senior night. Sophie Tuttle, Lauren Olhausen and Stella Carlson were recognized prior to the match for their hard work and leadership.

It really was a game of two halves Friday night, Oct. 6 in Colton, SD as the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies challenged the Tri-Valley Mustangs.

It was a great week for the Husky Volleyball team as they went on a five-game winning streak. They kicked off the week by playing against Viborg-Hurley on Oct.

The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies cross country team spent their time in Vermillion last week with the Tanager Invite on Oct. 2 and the DAK-12 Conference Meet on Oct.

Competitive cheerleaders for Dakota Valley were in attendance at the Mitchell Cheer and Dance Invite on Oct. 5. The squad faced very few fellow Class A schools, but worked hard against the larger Class A opponents.

A visit to the home of the Corn Palace occurred for the Panther dance team on Thursday, Oct. 5.

Monday, Oct. 2 brought a solid Dell Rapids (DR) team to North Sioux City for the Panther volleyball squad. Dakota Valley was ready for the challenge, as the Quarriers came to town with a record of 13-4.

Victory went to the Panthers for Friday Night Lights on Oct. 6.

Vermillion was the destination for the Dakota Valley cross country team throughout the 1st week of October. The Tanager Invite was held on Monday, Oct. 2 and the DAK-12 conference meet occurred on Thursday, Oct. 5.
