DV girls named to All-State Soccer

The South Dakota High School Soccer Coaches Association announced the 2023 Girls Class “A” All-State members. From Dakota Valley, Annabella Reyes was named to the First Team and Isabella Mijangos and Ashlynn Stusse were named to the Honorable Mention team.

Three DV Panthers medal at state cross country

The fastest field of cross country athletes invaded Yankton Trails, in Sioux Falls, on October 21st for the state meet. Dakota Valley qualified both the girls and boys varsity teams, which meant 12 Panthers represented on the course in addition to 4 talented alternates.

Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies dominate home field

October 13 wasn’t a jinx for the Huskies as they took to the field in a cold, damp, dreary day that they turned into a win over Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan (BEE). The game got off to a quick start with the Huskies finding the endzone with two touchdowns in the first quarter.

Runners finish season strong

While the season ended abruptly, the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies had a great running season. It was the Region 3A meet at Canton on Oct.

Panther Varsity teams qualify for state tournament

In Canton, the 2023 Region 3A cross country meet was held on Wednesday, Oct. 10. And hopes were high as the Panthers looked to qualify as many as possible for state. Dakota Valley met those hopes head-on as both varsity boys and girls brought home team plaques, as well as high placing individual runners.

Cross Country State Preview

Dakota Valley will be sending 12 harriers and 4 alternates to the South Dakota High School Activity Association’s (SDHSAA) state cross country meet on Saturday, Oct. 21st. The Panthers will race against the toughest that Class A has to offer. Schools in Class B and Class AA will also be on-site as South Dakota’s finest converge in Sioux Falls at Yankton Trails Park.

Dakota Valley Panther defense shuts down Watchdogs

It would not take long on Friday the 13th for DV to score versus Beresford on senior night at home. Up 6-0 extremely early was thanks to a touchdown run by junior Jackson Boonstra for over 50 yards. The score kicked off what would be an evening of Panther domination.
